Mango lassi / how to make mango lassi

 Lassi, as I have already told, is often made at home as hubby and kids love them.  Apart from making at home, it is a usual practise of ordering lassi whenever we visit a restaurant.  Lassi is a perfect body cooler and I have already shared the recipe for sweet lassi and Kesar lassi.  This is another addition to the other lassi's and I personally felt this to be more tastier than the other ones.  Mango lassi is a smoothie made out of ripe mango, yogurt and sugar.  In fact, lassi is one of the most popular beverages in North India, which is now gaining its popularity even in the other parts of India.  It's quite easy to prepare. Now to the recipe..
 

Ingredients required

mango diced into pieces1 cup
milk1/2 cup
curd / yogurt1 cup
sugar / honey2 tablespoon (or as required)
ice cubes5 - 6
pista or mango pieces for garnishing
saffron / kesarfew (soaked in 1 tablespoon of milk)
cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon



Method

1.  Peel mangoes and dice them into pieces. 

2.  In a blender add the mango pieces, sugar, milk, ice cubes, cardamom powder and soaked saffron and blend well until smooth. 


3.  Now add yogurt to it and blend it well once more. 

4.  Pour it into glasses and garnish with pistachios or mango pieces. 

5.  Serve it cold.
